Our Christian Lifestyle

Do you ever find yourself pretending to be someone or something else that you are not? Trying to impress people who wouldn’t notice you any other way?  Maybe your boss, or somebody who may raise your standing in society.  But who are they compared to Jesus? He loves you and cares about you no matter who you are, where you were born, or how everybody else looks at you.

In the book of Luke chapter 19 verses 1-10, it tells of a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector.  Among the Jews tax collectors were very unpopular, and Jesus was a guest at his house. Zacchaeus told the Lord he would give half of his goods to the poor, and return money in fourfold to any man falsely charged. And Jesus said to him, "salvation has come unto his house…  for the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which is lost." (verses 9,10)

Instead of changing everything in your life to be like someone who isn’t perfect and can't save you from eternity in hell, why not change your lifestyle to follow Jesus? “And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:2)What man or woman on earth can assure you eternity in heaven? Why would you want to be like someone who is no more or less than you? Jesus was the perfect example of what we as Christians need to be. Everyone else are just those whom Jesus came to save, and is nothing compared to the greatness of Christ our Lord.
